Life is not about
what is thrown at you; it’s what you do with it. Turn Life into living and
laugh through it.
I Grew up in Texas with a two parents that had met in Dallas
in the late fifties; Dad was a writer that came from Indiana with a degree in
Forestry and PR, so he wrote about trees in Dallas?*?! for the Morning News. Later went on and started an Ad Agency.
Mom was a Yankee moved to Dallas for Branif Airlines, she
was a rebel, her real desire was to be a housewife and raise 6 children. Dad
answered her dream after just 6 short weeks of meeting, they were married. That’s
a funny story in itself, tell you about it sometime.
Since my dad always taught me that I was an Alexander, and
will always do great things. I set out
to be an entrepreneur. I became a successful salon owner at such a young age, I
wanted more, so I became an actress, then producer and then, divorced female.
Struggling with my
career of what do I do next and falling short in picking the right man. I quit listening to my dad in my head, don’t
try to be” Murphy Brown”, Do I become a nun? That was a real ahh ha moment,
more like a ha ha moment. Then I figured it out. I am the first generation
working mom.
Since,” Mad Men” and “Sound of
Music” have already been done. I write about situational comedies. I did write
a Dramedgy, that has been optioned and will film this summer. My scripts are
about transitions’ in life.
Scenario - Young people learning
from older peoples’ success and failure stories.
Being poor achieving a goal early
in life and not knowing, but not being able to handle it when you get there.
Hence I write about hairdresser
that dreams of helping people while achieving her dreamed double life and
having it all.
